Behind Shoe The Bear are Thomas Frederiksen and Jakob Fuglsang, a duo that already at an early stage in the company's history attracted attention and gained respect for their unique and interesting approach to fashionable footwear - especially outside of native Denmark. Shoe The Bear are renowned for their balance between feminine fashion and masculin trends and for designing footwear with a serious international appeal. The company was established in 2007, after several years of shoe manufacturing and insights in the fashion industry. 

Since then Shoe The Bear has grown rapidly and are sold and distributed in more than 15 countries world wide. The shoes can be found at some of the worlds best retailers and boutiques. For each new collection Shoe The Bear finds a collaboration partner with whom they develop the collections. The collaborations with different creative souls adds a constant vibe and a unique look to the brand, and ensures that Shoe The Bear never stands still, but always are on the move down the red carpet.

Collaboration Deluxe!

The Joker

Together with Kopenhagen Fur, designer Camilla Stærk and the Dainsh rapper Jokeren, we made the most insane high top sneakers in mankind. Limited to 40 pairs world wide, these babies will cause state of emergency when they hit the streets in August. Filled on the inside with black shaved mink fur, and outside made of mink leather, these shoes will cost 1.500 EUR and will be produced by hand in Portugal.

        Collaboration with Kopenhagen Fur

        Together with Kopenhagen Fur, designer Camilla Stærk and the Dainsh rapper Jokeren, we made the most insane high top sneakers in mankind.         Shoe The Bear x Bibi Ghost

        Together with the renowned Copenhagen based designer Bibi Ghost, we made a few unique and feminine styles for our Spring Summer 2011 collection. The driving force behind the collection is the result of the “coming-togetherness” of different, but complementary creative mindsets. The collaboration was inspired by fat American tourists with big flashy cameras.

        Shoe The Bear x SHFT

        The cool cats from Copenhagen based graphic design bureau SHFT, was our collaboration for the Autmn Winter season in 2010. 3 bold and colourful shoes were the result of the fellow creative process. Main inspiration point was the trees of Copenhagen.

        Shoe The Bear x Allesandro

        In 2009 we teamed up with the Italian street artist and illustrator Allesandro Geri Rustighi aka OhMyGodWhatTheFuckBarbeque! This collaboration was the most far out we've done so far, and we were totally amazed with the result. Inspired by magic mushrooms and old people who stand in windows behind curtains and stare at everybody. Creepy...

        Shoe The Bear x Fadavi

        The Spring Summer 2010 collection contained the most artistic collaboration done so far. The Iranian painter Saeed Fadavi did three unique shoes, with images of women. The shoes quickly became a collectors item, and sold out almost immediately.

        Autumn Winter 2012. The Dutch artist and shoe designer Vivian van Schagen developed 3 female styles with inspiration from how people stay warm in the hot Sahara desert.
